Story Mining is a free, private space for reflecting on your own experience and finding the stories inside it. It offers a set of guided tools, writing prompts, a printable journal, and a user guide. That is all it claims to be.

Story Mining is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, legal advice, or professional coaching, and it is not a substitute for any of them. Nothing here is assessed, graded, or reviewed by a person. If your reflection brings up something difficult, please talk to someone qualified to help.

Everything you write stays yours. We claim no ownership of it and no licence to use it. Your writing is stored in your own browser on your own device, so we never see it. The Privacy page explains this in full.

Because your writing lives only on your device, you are responsible for keeping copies of anything you want to keep. Clearing your browser data, using private browsing, or switching devices will remove it, and we cannot recover it for you. Use the backup download and the PDF export to save your own copies.

Please use Story Mining for personal reflection and for sharing with others who might find it useful. Do not attempt to break, overload, or interfere with the site, and do not use the contact form or mailing list to send unlawful, abusive, or unsolicited commercial messages.

The prompts, tools, guide, printable journal, worked examples, wording, and design are the work of Duets Learning. You are welcome to use them for your own reflection and to print them for personal use. Please ask before republishing or using them commercially.

Some pages link elsewhere, including a book listing and the Duets Learning site. Those places have their own terms and are not under our control.

Story Mining is offered as it is, free of charge. We cannot promise it will always be available, error free, or suitable for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for any loss arising from using it, including lost writing. If something is broken, tell us and we will try to fix it.

These terms may change as the site grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated, and continuing to use the site means the current version applies.
